Elevate snack time with bite-sized French ham and cheese toasties that delight both kids and adults.
Ingredients:
  • 8 large white bread slices, crusts removed
  • 80g butter, softened
  • 11.80 gm dijon mustard
  • 100g gruyere cheese, very thinly sliced
  • 100g sliced leg ham
Instructions:
  • Butter one side of each bread slice and place them buttered-side down on a chopping board. Spread mustard on half the slices, then add half the gruyere, followed by ham. Season with salt and pepper. Add the remaining gruyere, top with the remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.
  • Slice each sandwich into 3 equal portions.
  • Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat and add half of the sandwiches. Cook for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted (using a palette knife for easy flipping). Transfer to a platter and repeat with the remaining sandwiches. Serve hot.
