Mini Xmas tree cupcakes

Kids will love these simple and cute Christmas tree cupcakes.
Ingredients:
  • 80g butter, softened, plus 125g, softened, extra
  • 110g brown sugar
  • 75g self-raising flour
  • 35g plain flour
  • 20.00 gm cocoa powder
  • 60ml water
  • 30g choc bits
  • 240g icing sugar mixture
  • 41.20 gm milk
  • Green food colouring
  • 40.00 ml hundreds and thousands
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan forced) and line two mini muffin pans with paper cases, each with a 1 tablespoon (20mL) capacity.
  • With an electric mixer, whip the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Incorporate the egg until just mixed. Add the sifted flours and Nestle Baking Cocoa along with water and stir gently until combined. Lastly, fold in Nestle Choc Mini BITS. Distribute the mixture evenly among paper cases and bake for 12-15 minutes or until fully cooked. Once out of the oven, transfer to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
  • For the icing, cream additional butter in a bowl until pale using an electric mixer. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and milk in two additions. Add green food coloring to tint. Transfer the icing to a piping bag with a fluted nozzle. Pipe tree shapes on cupcakes, then garnish with a mix of extra Nestle Choc Mini BITS and colorful hundreds and thousands.
