Miso soup: a comforting, quick, and flavorful Japanese classic. Made with only 5 ingredients in 10 mins, it's a cozy bowl of umami goodness. Enjoy as a nourishing meal any time of day. Get creative with miso paste in other dishes too!
Ingredients:
  • 1000.00 ml (1 litre) dashi stock
  • 20g dried seaweed (see note)
  • 75g miso
  • 150g Nature's Kitchen Silken Tofu, cut into 2cm cubes
  • 3 green onions, trimmed, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, heat the dashi over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat to low, stir in the seaweed, and cook for 1 minute until softened. Add the tofu and cook for another minute until heated through.
  • In a small bowl, combine miso paste with a splash of dashi until smooth. Pour the miso mixture into the saucepan and gently stir. Simmer, then remove from heat.
  • Divide the miso into the serving bowls evenly. Top with green onions and serve right away.
