Refreshing mojito sorbet - a cool twist on the classic cocktail with rum, fresh mint, and tangy lime, ideal for summertime enjoyment.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup mint leaves, packed
  • 0.25 cup grated lime zest
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1.5 cups citrus-flavored sparkling water
  • 2 tablespoons rum
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, sugar, and mint leaves. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 3 to 5 minutes to infuse the mint flavor. Allow the mixture to cool, then strain out the mint leaves.
  • Combine the chilled mint mixture, lime zest, lime juice, sparkling water, and rum in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze following the manufacturer's guidelines. Enjoy immediately for a softer sorbet, or store in a sealed container for a firmer consistency. Allow the sorbet to thaw briefly before serving if frozen solid.
