Treat your guests to easy-to-make, cozy chewy molasses cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup turbinado sugar (raw sugar) or coarse sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously coat a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in molasses and egg until combined. Gradually blend in the flour mixture until fully incorporated. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and coat with turbinado sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 12 minutes, or until the edges are firm. Let cool for 5 minutes, then transfer from the baking sheet to a cooling rack.
