Try this quick and tender Mongolian-style chicken as an alternative to the classic beef dish, no marinating needed!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound chicken breast tenderloins, cut into thin strips
  • 0.25 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger puree
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 4 green onions, chopped
Instructions:
  • Add the chicken strips and cornstarch to a spacious zip-top bag. Give it a good shake until everything is evenly coated.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat vegetable oil. Cook chicken until golden brown and juices run clear, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Combine garlic, ginger puree, Sriracha, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce in a bowl. Pour the mixture into the skillet, bring to a boil, then simmer until the sauce thickens in about 3 minutes.
  • Place the chicken back into the skillet, then add the green onions and mix well to cover them. Cook on medium-high heat until everything is warmed through, approximately 2 minutes. Serve promptly.
