Family favorite peanut butter and jelly jam perfect for sandwiches or toast.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3.5 cups mashed banana
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 6 half pint canning jars with lids and rings
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, mix the sugar and water and bring to a vigorous boil for 10 minutes. Add the lemon juice, mashed banana, and cloves. Lower the heat and simmer while stirring often until the mixture thickens, about 45 minutes. Strain out the cloves before serving.
  • Distribute the jam evenly into the jars, seal with lids, and chill in the refrigerator.
