Warm up with a cozy, aromatic hot toddy this winter!
Ingredients:
  • 2 x 750ml bottles red wine (see Notes)
  • 70.95 gm caster sugar, plus extra if desired
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced, cut into quarters
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over gentle heat, merge wine, sugar, cinnamon, star anise, and cloves. Stir occasionally for 5 to 10 minutes until sugar melts, ensuring all ingredients are warmed through. Sweeten further if necessary (refer to Notes).
  • Stir in freshly squeezed orange juice into the aromatic wine blend. Let the flavors meld for 2 minutes. Divide the mixture evenly among elegant heatproof glasses. Serve the delightful concoction warm for a cozy experience.
