Satisfy everyone with these irresistible portabella mushroom tacos featuring savory mushrooms and sweet caramelized onions. A must-try recipe for a fresh twist on taco night!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced
  • 3 large fresh portabella mushrooms, sliced, cut in half, stems removed (3 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons from 1 container (6.25 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 8 tortillas from 1 package (8.2 oz) Old El Paso™ Flour Tortillas for Soft Tacos and Fajitas (10 Count)
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco cheese
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onion until browned, then add mushrooms and cook until tender. Lower the heat, stir in taco seasoning mix and water, and simmer until water is absorbed. Remove from heat.
  • Spread the flavorful filling evenly over the tortillas, sprinkle with your favorite toppings, and tightly roll up the tortillas for a delicious experience.
