Stuffed chicken breasts with mushrooms, ham, Havarti cheese, wrapped in bacon, and baked to perfection for a delectable, flavorful entree.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 0.5 pound button mushrooms, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 12 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 12 slices Black Forest ham
  • 2 cups shredded Havarti-pepper cheese
  • 24 slices bacon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and mushrooms; season with salt and pepper. Cook until mushrooms are dark and juicy, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in bread crumbs. Set aside.
  • Place each chicken breast half between two sheets of heavy plastic on a sturdy surface and gently pound to 1/4 inch thickness. Lay a slice of ham on each breast, then spoon 3 tablespoons of mushroom stuffing and 2 1/2 tablespoons Havarti cheese on top. Roll the chicken around the stuffing, wrap with 2 slices of bacon per roll, and secure with toothpicks. Transfer the rolls to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Bake the chicken until cooked through and the stuffing is hot, about 35 minutes. Use a thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the roll reaches 165°F (74°C). Then, broil the rolls until the bacon is browned, for 5 to 10 minutes. Enjoy your delicious dish!
