Succulent roast beef with mushrooms, perfect on its own or shredded for cheesy steak sandwiches.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 (4 pound) standing beef rib roast
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) bottle beer
  • ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Prepare a savory bed for the roast by layering mushrooms at the bottom of the slow cooker. Gently place the roast on top of the mushrooms and generously sprinkle the onion soup mix over the beef. Pour beer over the ingredients for added flavor, then season with black pepper. Cook on LOW for 9 to 10 hours, until the meat is tender and can be effortlessly shredded with a fork.
