Indulge in a comforting meal with cheesy potato bake and juicy steaks.
Ingredients:
  • 23.40 gm wholegrain mustard
  • 20.00 ml white balsamic vinegar
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 4 x 125g beef sirloin steaks
  • 1kg sebago potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1 small brown onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 250.00 ml pizza 4 cheese blend
  • 2.580.75 gm pure cream
Instructions:
  • Mix the mustard, vinegar, and oil in a glass or ceramic dish. Add the steak and coat it well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced and grease a 24cm square baking dish that is 6cm deep.
  • Layer the potato slices, slightly overlapping, to cover the base of the dish. Sprinkle half of the onion and a third of the cheese on top. Repeat the layers. Finish with the remaining potato slices and cheese on top. Pour the cream over the layers. Bake for 1 hour until the potato is tender and the top is golden brown.
  • Preheat a chargrill pan over high heat, then adjust to medium-high heat. Grill steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium doneness or until preferred. Place steaks on a plate, cover with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice steaks thickly and serve with creamy potato bake and salad leaves.
