Quick and tasty Chinese-style ribs cooked in a pressure cooker.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6.5 pounds pork ribs
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cups water
  • 0.75 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup Chinese vinegar
Instructions:
  • Combine paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt in a resealable plastic bag. Add ribs, seal the bag, and shake vigorously until ribs are evenly coated. Remove ribs from bag, discarding any remaining dry rub.
  • In a hot wok, sear ribs in oil until nicely browned on all sides, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  • Combine water, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a pressure cooker. Add browned ribs. Seal the pressure cooker, bring to pressure, and simmer on medium heat.
  • Sear ribs over gentle heat for 15 minutes, then carefully release pressure following manufacturer's instructions.
