Impress your guests with a delicious Napa cabbage salad topped with crispy toasted ramen and almonds. Perfect for potlucks!
Ingredients:
  • 1 head napa cabbage
  • 1 bunch minced green onions
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter
  • 1 (3 ounce) package ramen noodles, broken
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 0.75 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Finely shred the cabbage, ensuring not to chop it. Mix the green onions with the cabbage in a large bowl. Refrigerate with a cover until serving time.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Create the crunchy topping: Melt butter in a pot, then mix in ramen noodles, almonds, and sesame seeds. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven, stirring occasionally to prevent burning, for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown.
  • Create the dressing by simmering oil, sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce in a saucepan until it boils. Let it boil for 1 minute, then cool off the pan away from heat.
  • Toss cabbage with crunchy topping and dressing right before serving for ultimate crunchiness. Enjoy immediately to maintain crispiness.
