Easy homemade iced tea with flavorful fruit syrup.
Ingredients:
  • 1L (4 cups) water
  • 10cm-piece fresh ginger, peeled, sliced
  • 20.00 ml grated orange rind
  • 1 orange, peeled, sliced
  • 1 nashi, peeled, quartered, cored
  • 110g (1/2 cup) white sugar
  • Ice cubes, to serve
  • 6 strawberries, washed, hulled, thinly sliced
  • 20.00 ml toasted pine nuts
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine water, ginger, and orange rind. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes to infuse flavors. Stir in orange slices, nashi, and sugar until sugar dissolves. Allow mixture to sit for 1 hour to enhance flavors.
  • Remove and discard the orange slices and nashi. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes, pour in the nashi tea, and garnish with strawberry and pine nuts.
