Delicious nectarine pie with creamy filling of white nectarines, sugar, cinnamon, and almond extract - perfect for summer gatherings!
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup white sugar
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.25 teaspoon almond extract
  • 5 nectarines
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) while bringing a large pot of water to a boil over high heat.
  • Mix together the sugar, flour, cinnamon, heavy cream, and almond extract, then set it aside.
  • Blanch nectarines in boiling water for 30 to 45 seconds, then quickly transfer them to cold running water to peel. Halve the peeled nectarines, remove pits, and place them cut-side down on the crust. Pour the cream mixture around the nectarines.
  • Simply bake in the oven until the filling sets, usually around 40 to 45 minutes. Enjoy warm or chilled.
