No-Bake Candy Corn Cereal Treats

Cheerios and marshmallows combined with Betty Crocker Whipped frosting to create festive candy corn cereal bar cupcakes for Halloween!
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 bag (10.5 oz) miniature marshmallows (5 1/2 cups)
  • 6 cups original Cheerios™ cereal, slightly crushed
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 2 tubs (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Vanilla Frosting
  • 1/2 teaspoon yellow paste food color
  • 3/4 teaspoon orange paste food color
  • 1 tablespoon white, orange and yellow candy sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Line 15 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups, then give them a light spray of cooking spray. Microwave the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl on High for about 45 seconds until melted.
  • Toss marshmallows until coated. Microwave uncovered on High for about 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring after 45 seconds, until smooth. Quickly add cereal and candy corn; stir until evenly coated.
  • Press around 1/2 cup of cereal mixture into each muffin cup firmly. Allow to cool for approximately 15 minutes or until set. Remove from the pan.
  • Combine 1 1/2 cups of frosting with yellow food color in a small bowl. Mix 1 1/4 cups of frosting with orange food color in another small bowl. Keep the remaining frosting white. Place each color of frosting into individual quart-size resealable plastic bags, seal the bags, and snip off a 1/2-inch corner. Pipe the frosting onto cupcakes in layers to replicate the look of candy corn. Sprinkle with candy sprinkles for decoration.
