No-bake dark chocolate custard pie with cornstarch and gelatin sets in 2 hours in the fridge.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package unflavored gelatin
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan, mix sugar, cornstarch, gelatin, and salt. Pour in the milk and stir well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 7 to 10 minutes. Then reduce the heat to low.
  • In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks and vanilla extract. Gradually whisk in a small portion of the hot milk mixture. Pour the mixture back into the pan slowly while whisking constantly. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the custard thickens, approximately 2 minutes. Be careful not to let it boil. Remove from the heat.
  • Melt the chocolate and mix it until smooth. Transfer the mixture into the ready graham cracker crust and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer on medium speed to beat until soft peaks form. Pipe the mixture onto the chilled pie.
