Indulge in a delightful banana pudding pie with decadent layers of chocolate fudge and fluffy whipped topping - a real crowd pleaser!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1.25 cups cold milk
  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
  • 2 bananas, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate crumb crust
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar hot fudge topping
  • 2 tablespoons dark rum
  • 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 12 maraschino cherries with stems, drained
  • 3 tablespoons walnut pieces
Instructions:
  • Combine pudding mix and milk in a large bowl until creamy. Gently mix in 2 cups of whipped topping and sliced banana. Set aside half of the banana pudding mixture and spread the rest in the pie crust.
  • Combine the hot fudge sauce and rum in a small bowl, reserving 3 tablespoons in a microwave-safe container for later. Spread half of the fudge sauce over the banana pudding in the pie crust using the back of a spoon. Repeat the layers with the remaining banana pudding and fudge sauce. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour until firm.
  • Layer the pineapple chunks neatly on top of the pie. Cover them with the remaining whipped topping, creating beautiful peaks by swirling with the back of a spoon. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Heat the reserved fudge sauce in the microwave until pourable, approximately 10 seconds. Use a fork to drizzle the sauce over the pie. Finish by garnishing with maraschino cherries and chopped walnuts.
