Indulge in a delightful and effortless mango lime sorbet that requires no ice cream maker. A perfect treat for mango lovers!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound frozen mango chunks
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Grated zest of 1 lime
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons strained lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup water
Instructions:
  • Prepare the ingredients: Allow the mango to partially thaw at room temperature for 20 minutes until a knife easily penetrates 1/8 to 1/4 inch into the surface. If you're short on time, microwave the mango on high in 10 to 15-second bursts until slightly softened and poke-able. While the mango is thawing, mix together the sugar, lime zest, lime juice, maple syrup, and water in a measuring cup until the sugar dissolves.
  • Create the sorbet mixture: Blend the mango chunks in a food processor until coarsely chopped, about 24 pulses. While processing, gradually add the sugar-water through the feed tube until smooth.
  • Prepare to indulge: Gently transfer the sorbet to a metal loaf pan or plastic storage container, leaving behind any chunks (a treat for the chef). Cover and freeze until solid, approximately 40 minutes. If the edges freeze faster than the center, gently stir everything and freeze for an additional 10 minutes, or store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
  • Serve: Allow the sorbet to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes until it is soft enough to scoop.
