Indulgent chocolate brownies made healthier with bananas, oats, and applesauce for a kid-friendly treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.66666668653488 cup whole wheat flour
  • 0.66666668653488 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 banana
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and baking powder. Add mashed banana and mix well. Stir in eggs, butter, milk, applesauce, and vanilla extract until batter is smooth. Transfer the mixture to a baking pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick comes out clean, about 40-45 minutes.
