Timeless buttery cookies perfect with a classic cup of tea.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 egg
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
  • Combine butter and sugar in a medium bowl until creamy. Mix in eggs thoroughly. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and nutmeg. Gradually add dry mix and milk to the creamed mixture. Split dough in half, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare your cookie sheets by greasing them or lining them with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness, then use cookie cutters to shape them. Transfer the cookies to the prepared sheets and bake in a preheated oven for 8 minutes until slightly browned.
