Indulgent hot fudge sauce for ice cream and desserts.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
Instructions:
  • Fill the bottom pot of a double boiler halfway with water and bring it to a gentle boil. Combine chocolate, butter, and salt in the top pot. Gradually add sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, stirring well after each addition.
  • Slowly pour in the evaporated milk bit by bit while constantly stirring until thoroughly combined.
  • Drizzle the warm sauce over a scoop of ice cream. Any remaining sauce can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the microwave if desired.
