Old-Fashioned Scotch Eggs

Indulge in our rich and savory egg and sausage delight, perfect for a special occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 pound pork sausage, formed into 6 patties
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, gently place eggs and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cover, remove from heat, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove eggs from water, cool them down, and peel.
  • Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large deep skillet until hot.
  • Take the whole boiled eggs and position them on top of the sausage patty. Roll them up to create a ball around the egg. Dip the ball in beaten egg wash, then coat with seasoned breadcrumbs. Deep fry in hot vegetable oil until the meat is fully cooked. Once done, drain and serve hot.
