Whip up a quick and healthy dessert with Betty Crocker's recipe for fruit cookies - a delightful twist on a classic treat, ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium tart red apple, unpeeled, cored and cut into wedges
  • 1 medium orange, unpeeled and cut into wedges
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup canola or soybean oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed or flaxseed meal
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°. Combine apple, orange, and dates in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
  • Combine the brown sugar, oil, and egg in a large bowl, then mix in the remaining ingredients along with the fruit mixture. Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until a light golden brown color is achieved. Remove from the cookie sheet right away.
