Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 sliced ripe medium bananas
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Delights Super Moist™ Spice Cake Mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 1/3 cup caramel topping
  • Kosher salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F and generously coat a 10- or 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine butter, brown sugar, and bananas in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered on High for 1 minute and 40 seconds to 2 minutes, until the bananas are cooked and caramelized.
  • Combine the cake mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute, then increase speed to medium and beat for 2 more minutes. Gently fold in the walnuts before pouring the batter into the pan.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool for 15 minutes, then invert onto a cooling rack or heatproof plate and remove the pan. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour before placing the cake on a serving plate.
  • Drizzle cake with decadent caramel topping, then sprinkle with a touch of flaky kosher salt to enhance the flavors.
