Whip up a quick and satisfying one-pot bolognese for a stress-free dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 9.20 gm olive oil
  • 560g Italian pork sausages
  • 123.75 gm red wine
  • 575g jar bolognese pasta sauce
  • 250g penne rigate
  • 62.50 ml finely chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 125.00 ml grated parmesan
  • Extra fresh basil leaves, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, heat oil and add squeezed sausages from casings. Cook for 5 minutes, breaking up the sausage with a wooden spoon until browned.
  • Pour a generous amount of rich red wine into the pot and let it simmer for a minute. Follow it up with a hearty pour of pasta sauce and add 2 cups of cold water. Bring the mixture to a boil before gently placing the pasta into the pot. Let it simmer for 25 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally until the pasta is perfectly tender. Once ready, take it off the heat and finish with a sprinkle of fresh basil leaves.
  • Garnish with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
