Tender chicken stir-fried in tangy orange-soy sauce, served on crunchy chow mein noodles.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 (6 ounce) package crispy chow mein noodles
Instructions:
  • Combine freshly squeezed orange juice, fragrant orange zest, savory soy sauce, a pinch of salt, minced garlic, and rich brown sugar in a small bowl. Mix until well combined.
  • In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, heat oil until it bubbles. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink inside, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Pour the zesty orange sauce over the chicken and cook until it starts to bubble. Gradually sprinkle in flour until the sauce reaches your desired thickness. Toss in bean sprouts and cook for 1 minute. Serve hot over a bed of chow mein noodles.
