Indulge in decadent chocolate chip and zesty orange muffins made moist with sour cream.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup canola oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 1 orange - zested, peeled, and segmented
  • 1.75 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 7 ounces milk chocolate chips (such as Cadbury Baking Chips)
Instructions:
  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare 16 muffin cups with paper liners.
  • Combine milk, sour cream, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract in a bowl, whisk until smooth. Add sugar and orange zest, then mix in flour, salt, and chocolate chips. Gently fold in diced orange segments.
  • Fill each prepared muffin cup with batter, leaving a 1/4 empty at the top.
  • Bake the muffins in the preheated oven until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, which should take about 15 to 20 minutes. Allow them to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
