One-bowl orange cake with sweet orange glaze for instant success.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.66666668653488 cup superfine sugar
  • 0.66666668653488 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup superfine sugar
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9-inch cake pan with butter and flour.
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, eggs, sugar, butter, orange juice, orange zest, and baking powder until a pale batter forms. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then carefully transfer to a cooling rack set over a tray.
  • As the cake cools, mix sugar and orange juice in a small bowl to create the drizzle. Pour the mixture over the warm cake. Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing.
