A delicious Oregon fall salad featuring hazelnuts, apples, sharp Cheddar, mixed greens, and apple cider vinaigrette.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon cider vinegar
  • sea salt to taste
  • coarse ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (10 ounce) bag mild field salad greens, or to taste
  • 0.5 cup hazelnuts
  • 2 apples, cored and sliced paper-thin
  • 0.33333334326744 cup sharp Cheddar cheese rectangles
Instructions:
  • Combine olive oil, cider vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper in a large bowl and whisk until the dressing is smooth. Add salad greens to the bowl and toss to coat in the dressing.
  • Toast hazelnuts in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown, about 4 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and coarsely chop.
  • Assemble apple slices, Cheddar cheese, and hazelnuts over dressed greens.
