Oven Fried Chicken with Breadcrumbs

Crispy oven-baked country-style chicken, juicy inside.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cut-up whole chicken (3 to 3 1/2 lb; 8 pieces), skin removed
  • 1 cup Progresso™ plain panko crispy bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease broiler pan. Pour buttermilk into a shallow bowl. In a separate shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, garlic salt, paprika, pepper, and poultry seasoning.
  • Coat chicken in buttermilk and breadcrumbs, then lay on broiler pan. Dispose of excess buttermilk and breadcrumbs. Finish by drizzling with butter.
  • Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until the chicken juices run clear when the thickest pieces are cut to the bone (165°F).
