Get ready for a tropical feast with this succulent Hawaiian-style slow-roasted pork. Rubbed with sea salt and liquid smoke for authentic flavor, it's perfect for shredding and serving with your favorite sides. No need for special salt - ordinary sea salt works great too!
Ingredients:
  • 5 pounds pork butt roast
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 2.5 tablespoons Hawaiian sea salt, divided
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Massage liquid smoke and 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt into the pork skin. Wrap the pork tightly in foil, ensuring a complete seal, and transfer to a roasting pan.
  • Cook in the preheated oven until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), approximately 5 hours. Allow it to cool down after removing it from the oven, then shred the meat and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of salt.
