Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3- to 3 1/2-lb cut-up whole chicken
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F and melt butter in a 15x10x1-inch pan in the oven.
  • Mix the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish. Coat the chicken with the flour mixture and place it in the pan skin side down.
  • Bake the chicken uncovered for 30 minutes, then turn the chicken and continue baking for about 20 more minutes until the juices run clear or until the thickest pieces reach at least 165°F.
