Elevate your breakfast game with this easy overnight French toast casserole - simply prep it the night before and bake to golden perfection in the morning.
Ingredients:
  • 2 sticks butter, melted
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into 2-inch slices
  • 8 eggs, beaten
  • aluminum foil
Instructions:
  • In an 11x15-inch baking dish, spread the melted butter evenly. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the butter, then arrange the bread slices closely together on top.
  • Combine milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in a bowl until fully mixed, then pour over the bread in the baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, ideally overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the covered casserole in the oven at the specified temperature for 30 minutes, then uncover and continue baking until puffed and lightly golden, approximately 15 minutes longer.
