Quick and elegant oyster stew made with fresh ingredients for a comforting seafood soup in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup minced celery
  • 3 tablespoons minced shallots
  • 1 quart half-and-half cream
  • 2 (12 ounce) containers fresh shucked oysters, undrained
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your fresh and flavorful ingredients for a culinary masterpiece.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Cook and stir celery and shallots until shallots are tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • In a large pot over medium-high heat, gently warm the half-and-half. Mix in the celery and shallot blend, stirring constantly until it's almost at a boil. Fold in the oysters and their juices, then season with cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Stir oysters constantly until they curl, then remove from heat and serve right away.
