Crispy fried daikon cake showcases the sweet and bright flavor of daikon radish with a hint of bite.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups grated daikon radish
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.5 red onion, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 0.5 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon chile-garlic sauce (such as Sriracha®)
  • 1.5 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • In a spacious bowl, layer daikon slices and generously sprinkle with salt. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • 1. Drain the daikon and combine with garlic, onion, egg, bread crumbs, pepper, paprika, and chili garlic sauce; mix thoroughly. Shape the mixture into 8 patties.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties until firm and golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
