Whip up a delicious dinner for four in just 30 minutes with this quick and flavorful jerk-seasoned pork chops recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 (5 ounce) boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 2 medium limes, juiced
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix the vibrant jerk seasoning with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, warm up some oil. Sprinkle in approximately 1 tablespoon of jerk rub. Toss in the onions and sauté until they become soft, approximately 3 minutes.
  • Generously coat one side of each pork chop with half of the remaining jerk rub. Score each chop with 4 or 5 small knife cuts and drizzle half of the lime juice over them. Place the chops seasoned side down in the hot skillet.
  • Continue cooking until the chops are golden and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes. While cooking, add the rest of the jerk rub on top of the chops. Make holes as previously done and drizzle the remaining lime juice on top. Flip the chops and cook until golden and fully cooked, another 5 to 7 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the center reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
