Creamy paneer cooked in a rich and flavorful tomato sauce with Indian spices like cumin, coriander, red chile powder, and garam masala.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 pound paneer, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon ground cashews
  • 1 teaspoon ground red chiles
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 0.5 cup half-and-half
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Warm the oil in a spacious skillet over medium heat. Sear the paneer in batches until golden, approximately 5 minutes. Place the fried paneer on a paper towel-lined plate to drain, keeping the vegetable oil in the skillet.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Stir in ginger paste and garlic paste; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add cashews, ground red chiles, cumin, coriander, and garam masala to the skillet. Cook and stir for 1 minute.
  • Combine tomato sauce, half-and-half, milk, sugar, and salt with spice mixture; simmer until thickened for about 5 minutes. Then, reduce heat to low and add fried paneer, simmering until heated through for an additional 5 minutes.
