Elevate shrimp scampi with Parmesan crust, garlic wine sauce, and angel hair pasta for a tasty and effortless dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups angel hair pasta
  • 0.5 cup butter, divided
  • 1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 0.5 cup white cooking wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.75 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 0.75 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Boil a pot of salted water. Cook angel hair pasta until al dente, about 4 to 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Place the oven rack 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler.
  • In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, melt 1/4 cup of butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant. Add shrimp, white wine, and lemon juice. Cook until shrimp is pink and opaque, about 5 minutes. Mix in red pepper flakes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Combine the remaining 1/4 cup of butter, bread crumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, and parsley in a bowl, stirring until mixed well. Set aside.
  • Mix the cooked pasta with the shrimp scampi mixture until it's fully coated in sauce. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese and mix well. Finish by topping with the bread crumb mixture.
  • Place under the broiler in the preheated oven until beautifully golden, which should take around 3 to 4 minutes. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
