Upgrade your breadsticks with fragrant rosemary for a gourmet touch in just an hour.
Ingredients:
  • Olive oil
  • Cornmeal, if desired
  • 12 frozen whole wheat or white bread dough rolls (from 48-ounce package), thawed
  • 2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
  • 3 or 4 long fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Prepare two cookie sheets by generously brushing them with flavorful olive oil and sprinkling them with delightful cornmeal. Shape each ball of dough into a charming 9-inch rope and carefully arrange them on the sheets about 1/2 inch apart.
  • Brush 2 tablespoons of oil on the dough. Break 36 small clusters of rosemary leaves from the sprigs. Insert 3 clusters onto each breadstick, about 1/4 inch deep. Sprinkle cheese on top of the dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, until nearly doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a light golden brown color is achieved. Serve while warm.
