Elevate your party with irresistible peanut butter banana cake cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ripe medium banana, mashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Melted chocolate frosting, if desired
  • Chopped roasted peanuts, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, mix together butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until creamy, about 2 minutes. Add egg and continue mixing. Then, on low speed, blend in banana and vanilla until smooth.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Gradually mix the flour mixture into the peanut butter mixture on low speed.
  • Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet, making sure they are about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Let cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Drizzle with melted frosting and sprinkle with peanuts.
