Indulge in a simple PB & J cake using cake mix and frosting for a delicious treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Vanilla Frosting
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons grape jelly
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups.
  • In a large bowl, mix cupcake ingredients with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl occasionally. Fill muffin cups evenly with batter, filling each about two-thirds full.
  • Bake for 18 to 23 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Then, remove from the pan and cool completely on a rack for about 30 minutes.
  • Combine frosting and 1/2 cup peanut butter in a medium bowl. Frost the cupcakes and create a small indentation in the center of the frosting on each cupcake using the back of a spoon. Just before serving, add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon jelly into each indentation. Store loosely covered.
