Elevate classic blondie bars with a crunchy peanut brittle topping for a decadent dessert option.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups coarsely crushed peanut brittle (about 14 oz)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with shortening and lightly flour it.
  • Combine 2 1/2 cups of flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside. In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar over medium heat. Take off heat and let cool slightly. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then blend in the flour mixture. Mix in peanut brittle and vanilla. Press dough into baking dish.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until beautifully golden. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack, then neatly cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
