Total Time:
Indulgent Peanut Butter Cup Cake inspired by iconic Philly treats. A must-try decadent delight for any dessert lover.
Ingredients:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease and flour a sheet cake pan or cookie sheet with 1-inch sides.
  • In a spacious bowl, whisk eggs until they turn a lovely lemon color. Mix in vanilla and salt. Gently fold in sugar, flour, milk, baking powder, and melted butter or margarine.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until perfectly cooked.
  • While the cake is still warm, spread a layer of peanut butter over it. Quickly sprinkle chocolate morsels on top and return the pan to the oven to melt the chocolate. Evenly spread the melted chocolate over the peanut butter. Chill until the chocolate sets. Alternatively, allow the peanut butter to cool and solidify. Melt the chocolate later and spread it over the cake for a two-layered peanut butter and chocolate delight.
