Delicious fusion of French toast, bread pudding, and PB&J.
Ingredients:
  • 14 slices Brioche bread
  • 7 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 7 tablespoons grape jelly or jam
Instructions:
  • Grease a medium baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside.
  • On half of the bread slices, generously slather creamy peanut butter, and on the remaining slices, spread sweet jelly, each with a decadent tablespoon. Pair up the slices, creating 7 irresistible sandwiches, each combining the nutty and fruity flavors perfectly.
  • Cut the brioche into quarters to make 28 mini sandwiches. Place the mini sandwiches with the cut sides up in the baking dish, lining them up closely in rows.
  • Prepare the custard by whisking together milk, eggs, honey, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Pour the custard evenly over the sandwiches, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow the custard to soak into the bread. Cover the casserole with foil and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Bake the casserole covered in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes until the sandwiches are crispy and golden brown. Finish by sprinkling with confectioners sugar or drizzling with maple syrup.
