Indulge in irresistibly nutty baked slices with creamy peanut butter.
Ingredients:
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 59.40 gm brown sugar
  • 250.00 ml plain flour
  • 165.00 gm strawberry jam
  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk
  • 85.80 gm crunchy peanut butter
  • 187.50 ml unsalted peanuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease a 3cm-deep, 16cm x 26cm slice pan and line it with baking paper, leaving a 2cm overhang on all sides.
  • In a bowl, mix butter and sugar, then sift in flour and baking powder. Stir until thoroughly combined. Press mixture into prepared pan and bake for 12 minutes, or until golden. Remove from oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Evenly spread jam on the base. Combine milk, peanut butter, and peanuts in a bowl until just mixed. Pour the milk mixture over the jam evenly. Bake for 30 minutes until edges are deep golden and the center is firm. Cool completely in the pan, then cut into pieces and serve.
