Create a luscious fruit base and fluffy topping effortlessly in your slow cooker.
Ingredients:
  • 4 pears, peeled, cored, cut into wedges
  • 300g Frozen Mixed Berries
  • 75g caster sugar
  • 35g plain flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 20.00 gm caster sugar, extra
  • 120g butter, chopped
  • 185ml buttermilk
  • 100g white chocolate, chopped
  • Vanilla ice cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a slow cooker, mix together the pear, berries, sugar, plain flour, and vanilla. Let it sit for 20 minutes until the berries start to release their juices.
  • In a large bowl, mix self-raising flour and extra sugar. Add butter and use your fingertips to blend it into the flour until it looks like fine breadcrumbs. Create a well in the center, pour buttermilk, and stir until you have a soft, sticky dough. Finally, fold in the chocolate.
  • Evenly distribute the decadent chocolate mixture over the sweet pear mixture in the slow cooker. Cook on high for 3 hours or until the top is perfectly cooked and the fruit is tender. Enjoy with a scoop of creamy ice cream.
