Maple-sweetened, dairy-free, gluten-free pear and almond tart for a delicious twist on a classic dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups almond meal
  • 0.25 cup gluten-free oat flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1.5 (16 ounce) cans pear halves, drained and patted dry
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then prepare the tart pan by greasing the bottom and lining it with parchment paper.
  • Combine almond meal, oat flour, and baking powder in a medium bowl, stirring until well mixed.
  • In a large bowl, vigorously mix together egg, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla, salt, and almond extract. Gently combine almond meal mixture to create a sticky dough.
  • Gently pat dough into the tart pan and elegantly place the pears on top.
  • Bake until beautifully golden brown, approximately 22 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven.
