Ingredients:
  • 90g butter, chopped
  • 107.50 gm caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 49.50 gm self-raising flour, sifted
  • 165.00 ml plain flour, sifted
  • 400g can pears in natural juice, drained, roughly chopped
  • 187.50 ml pecan nuts, chopped
  • 300g carton sour cream
  • 1 tsp cinnamon sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a 3cm-deep slab pan measuring 17cm x 28cm and line it with baking paper as per the note.
  • Combine butter, sugar, egg, and flours in a food processor and blend until a dough forms. Press the dough into a pan and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until it turns a light golden color. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before serving.
  • In a bowl, mix together pears, pecans, and sour cream. Spread the mixture over the warm base, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and bake for 15 minutes or until the topping is set. Allow to cool completely in the pan, then cut into pieces and serve.
